Librarian’s note: This is an alternate cover edition for ASIN: B00GGMQLFO.I was broken, numb to want and desire, but then he came along… Three years after the tragic events of Anna’s sixteenth birthday which saw her boyfriend killed and her kidnapped by his sadistic murderer, she’s no longer the happy-go-lucky girl that everyone used to know and love; she’s now cold, hard and suffers from night terrors. Carter is currently serving time for the murder of Jack–a conviction that Anna helped secure–but his retrial is coming up because some key evidence appears to have been tampered with. Needing to ensure his daughter’s safety, presidential candidate, Senator Spencer, tasks in Ashton Taylor, a newly qualified SWAT agent, to guard the broken girl and keep her safe until the end of the trial. For three years Anna has refused to feel emotion or pain. Can Ashton help her rebuild her life and finally deal with the grief of losing her childhood sweetheart? Will he be the one to make her see that life is, in fact, worth living and that not all men will hurt her?
Author’s note: This edition contains Part 1 (Guarding the Broken) and Part 2 (Blurring the Lines) and combines them into one novel of epic proportion!

Okay, I’ve read a lot of reviews for this and I think a few things need to be straightened out.
This book isn’t for those who like in depth reads with a complicated plot line and tonnes of different characters.
This is pretty cheesy, yes, but if you enjoy easy reads with a happy ending then do give the book a go. I read it on my phone, on holiday and I really enjoyed it and I think a majority of people would as long as they’re not expecting anything massively unique.
Personally I really enjoyed it 😀

I was surprised by how mixed the reviews where to be honest. I really liked the story & even though there were things that jarred with me a little I still enjoyed it. I would recommend this (especially when it is free!) & I would read more by this author.

Only took a couple chapters to fall in love. I was hooked before the sample ran out. Ashton has become my #1 book boyfriend. Sorry Gideon and Hudson – you’ve been replaced.

Ashton – Lord have mercy. The man did not have a flaw. How did the author manage to put so much perfection into one character?

I loved Anna. The progression of her character was amazing to read. It’s incredibly difficult to write a character with so much strength yet so much vulnerability, but it was done beautifully in this book.

The way their love story unfolded was seamless. I couldn’t have asked for a better story line – start to finish.

If I want to be in a sweetness comatose I will read Kirstey Moseley book and surely this book is one of those times. Shit how much do I want to have an Ashton Taylor in real life. Nothing left to Lose is a book with overdose sweetness — (although I’m not really keen to the presidential plot thing but i’ll overlook that).I finished this in one night and seriously did not sleep.

First chapter I almost cried and my heart is pounding. I can still see Jack’ face and scared eyes and Annas’ misery over it . it tormented me . One of the best gripping opening for a book. But the succeeding chapters , it was smooth , funny, sweetness galore, cloud nine until the reappearance of Carter.

I love Anna and Taylor. It seldom that i like both main characters . Anna even broken is strong and determined , loving and caring when she opens her heart to Ashton even she doesn’t want to admit it. She is funny and smart ass. Sh knows what she wants and when to get it. what she did for Ashton to protect him was admirable.

Ashton, what can i say , you would wish to have an Ashton yourself. Tough but sweet, too sweet Im gonna be diabetic. He is so inlove to Anna , he’s determined to protect and save her, To love her unconditionally.

Every characters in this book are vital , made the whole books amazing. Nate was so funny I look forward to his story and Carter was a proper psycho you would want to rip him apart. I was sad over Dean and Peter , ALthough the presidential and celeb status story makes me laugh because it’s not believable but you’ll overlook it.

You have to read this, I cannot put it into words because every bit of this book amazingly beautiful. It will make you smile and cry, swoon and laugh . Its worth your money and time.

Well done to kirsty . Looking forward to read more of her books.
