This book has its highs and lows, but overall, the highs wipe out the lows. As I read in the end, this book is due for high praise for its honesty and direct advice.

I have tried to read every chapter twice, but I only read the chapters I glanced through twice; I made sure, however, that every chapter, even the small ones sinked in.

I loved all the tips in the book, including the prayer tips. I thank Carnegie for sharing his genius with me.

I used to spend sleepless nights worrying about the future. I wanted to know the future so I could worry over it. Yes, a classic worrywart. I am glad I stopped before I looked twice my age.

I am particularly drawn to the parsimonious examples at the back – those were necessary in my opinion – they did deviate from the text abit, but they very aptly showed the practical application of banishing worry, from the common man’s POV.

I also got a glimpse into the lives of those in power, and their effective stratagems for banishing their night hooties. Surely someone with alot of responsibility worries hella loads!

So, what surprised me in a magical way, is that worry is so universal, and from there, so are the remedies. I would consider this book one of a brainchilds’, and if anyone happens to come across it, and is not put off by the title (yes, knowledge repels snobs), they would have uncovered an extremely shiny gem that will stay with them, sparkling their soul and paving their lighted path for life.

This is a good book. So many tricks and tips to avoid our worry problem. Many stories of real people that how they used some principle to kill the worrying problem. This book doesn’t have any new concepts or ideas which help, all are old tricks that we knew already but as we grown up and have different-different pieces of stuff to do in our life we just forget all of those tricks to stop worrying.

Tricks you can use to stop your Worry problem and Start living.

1. Everything is in God’s Hand we can’t-do anything about everything.
2. Go out with your friends.
3. Watch or listen to your religion teacher’s speeches like Jesus Christ. Mine is Lord Shree Krishna you can watch his Speeches on life on YouTube. I highly recommend this.
4. Think good of Future.
5. Talk to yourself at least once in a Day.
6. Pray all day because it gives energy to our Body. And you’ll find out what pray can do.
7. An exercise which supplies enough Blood to Brain.
8. Yoga
9. Meditation **Key Ingredients to kill worry problem**
10. Sleep early and wake up early.

A nice book on how to conquer worry. There are so many tips here I actually have a hard time remembering what to do when I worry! The book says two things about itself: to read it twice (second time underscoring and highlighting interesting texts) and not to consider it a “reading book” but more like a manual. I’ve done the first and I’m still confused by all the great tips. Basically it says not to worry… then there are a lot of ways to achieve that. If I would read it again I would probably just read it through once, and then look up the index once in a while. Let’s see if I ever go back to it, I might even update this review then. (don’t hold your breath)

Conclusion: Read it, on a holiday or some time relaxing.

I read this about 30 years ago.
I remember liking it quite a bit.
Gave a very rational approach to dealing with personal problems – worrying.
Many examples really hit home.
It gave methodologies one could use.

I think it was written in the 1930s or 40s when there were some pretty hairy problems in the world and the country. Kinda made me think about putting my own problems in perspective.

I worried less after reading the book.
I may read it again, since I seem to have forgotten a good deal about the book and sometimes I worry too much these days.

Quite helpful & life changing. Certainly one of the best self help books I’ve ever read. Worth of owning and reading. Totally recommended.
