Before reading this novel, I have heard a LOT about it. It was one of the most controversial works in the Arabian world. Highly criticized AND appreciated. That what made me eager to know what is the story about and of course it concerns religion.
Honestly I couldn’t stop reading it, the novel’s protagonist is Nada, the Jewish girl, she was born in Tunisia. Muslim father and a Jewish mother but lived with a different dad named George (christian). this mixture of religion made her mom put a high effort on making them stick on their religion. Nada’s sister decides to marry a christian which makes Sonia, the mother so angry however she says that Nada is going to marry a guy from her religion. Then happens what she could never imagine!
I was fascinated and so eager to know what is nexxxxt!!! of course this work contains many stories and characters. it’s a work that teaches you many things

It’s a wonderful story, it inspired and learnt me several things such like being an optimistic person in every situation that face me in my lifetime, family is very important to everyone, and it made me thinking how people struggle to stay alive and protect their country from enemies.

Nada had fought a lot in her life, starting with that night when she met Ahmed.
then when she lost him, and when she changed her religion and became a Muslim girl.
Her mother threw her away from her house and then she traveled to Tunisia.
Long time has past when she received that call from Samah telling her Ahmed has come back home.
So enjoyable and exciting story, when i was reading it, i got confused reading a chapter, then got excited while reading the next one.
I like it so so so much.
Keep the good work up Khawla, you’re such a talented author mashallah.

I loved the book, it showed me how beautiful Islam is, made me want to dig more into it and made me recognise that sadly, most of the Muslims are just Muslims by identity not by heart. However, what I didn’t like about the book is that it shows that the other religions would be thrown into hell, just because they are not Muslims and when Nada changed her religion from Jewish to Muslim, she tried saving everyone else by guiding them to the right direction which is Islam so they would not be thrown to hell. That’s not what Islam had taught us though as we, as Muslims, can not judge who would go to heaven and who would go to hell; only God is the one who decides that!

This book was amazing.!!!
I recommended seriously for everyone as i ca’t imagine any person that could hate it!
I think i’m going to take a break from reading for a while as i can’t imagine that there would be another book as amazing as this book.
Personally..the book touched me internally both emotionally and theoretically, it changed the way i’m thinking and the way i see the world. honestly i didn’t expect this from the book but it was beyond magnificent, i can’t believe that there is such people living on our plant that think this way, the characters were incredible i fell in love with ‘Nada’ and i’m impressed by how her character evolve that way and not for her beloved one ‘Ahmed’ but for her own faith and love for god and Islam…it’s became rare to see Muslim that feel that much love for Allah and Islam..
