Really great book to provide an overview of how meditation practices are being used in the workplace and providing some of the scientific research on the benefits of meditation. It lagged somewhat about halfway, and crammed many different programs near the end. However, the book finished strongly and was quite informative. I quite enjoyed it.

David Gelles has written an excellent book about mindfulness meditation and its potential value in the workplace. His assessment is objective and thorough. Gelles covers everything from history to workplace case studies.

This is good book that helps you understand ways to control stress. It points out ways you can better yourself, and manage the most important things in your life. Multitasking bad. I liked the explanation as to why is can be.

I learned a lot about mindfulness through this book. The resources that David shares throughout and in the appendix are invaluable. Lots to think about. As he says, “To start, just follow your breath.”
