Yes, there is a lot of cliche advice and self-congratulatory writing in Ferrazzi’s book. But I would also add that he has some very important, HUGE ideas in here that are easy to overlook as simple and mundane. I am coming away from reading this book with at least 5 actionable ideas that I am excited to impart on my own lifestyle…not because I have a MBA, but because he offers real perspectives on how to live a “successful” life from the perspective of relationship-building. Insightful and inspiring, this book gives you the meaning of connecting to people, how it could affect your career path and your journey in life thus adding a value and worth to it, its definitely informative yet at one point the listing of his stories made me bored and the way he keep talking without getting to the bottom line made me frustrated, maybe im the problem, lol yet overall i would recommend this book for someone who wanna learn the value of keeping connected, how to get connected.

It’s a good book. Very simple and fluent to read. With good memorable stories.
Gives you good tips and insights on own to build a valuable network of relationships.
Although it hints in its pages at some reflections of ethical balances it still comes out as an elitists book. Is based principles of network of privilege, unfair access to knowledge&connections and often advocates for concentration of power.

Lots of valuable tips beyond networking alone. Highly recommend. 

I read some of the other reviews which call the author too boastful and egotistical. I strongly disagree – you can’t have it both ways when you want to hear candid advice on how to be successful, have examples on what made the author successful and then expect modesty from the author at the same time.

I was in two minds about this book. On the one hand it’s a disgusting, fiendish and calculating guide to hardcore networking. The author mentions Trump as a positive example, advices us to rank connections, spam with newsletters on social media, etc. But it’s not bad book at all. It did give me some good ideas and I can see that the Author seems to be a happy man, doing what he likes the most in his life: hanging out with powerful people and imbibe tons of wine.
